FAQ
Do you sell prints of your photographs?
Yes, I do. If there's a photograph you want a print of, write down the image number, then go to JeffColburn.com and see if that print is there. If not, e-mail the image number to me at info@JeffColburn.com, and I'll let you know what print sizes are available.
I make each print myself on an Epson Stylus 1400 printer, which uses six colors of Claria™ Hi-Definition dye instead of standard ink. This creates vivid prints, that when mounted behind glass, will last for up to 98 years. Prints stored in an album will last for up to 200 years. I want to give you the best possible print to provide you with years of pleasure, and an heirloom that you can pass on to future generations.
Are your prints in any galleries?
Yes, you can see my prints at: The New State Motor Building Coop, 110 Main St., Jerome, Arizona. The coop is across the street from Grapes Restaurant, and down the stairs. It's open 7 days a week, from 9:00 - 5:00.
How big can I make the prints?
Typical DPI's (Dots Per Inch) are:
- 72 DPI for websites
- 200 DPI for printed images seen at a distance, like a poster
- 300 DPI for a good quality magazine image
Larger prints can be made from an image if the proper printer is used, as it will add pixels to compensate for the larger image size.
Here are some common image sizes and their corresponding print size.
